Qatar Charity and Islamic Relief Worldwide have entered into a partnership agreement to strengthen their collaborative efforts in delivering aid, fostering sustainable development, and promoting peacebuilding across multiple regions. This alliance underscores both organisations’ shared commitment to humanitarian assistance and global development, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“This agreement will enable us to work closely to deliver aid, sustainable development, and peacebuilding to many areas around the world,” said Nawaf Al Hammadi, Chief Operations Officer of Qatar Charity. “Together, we aim to make a significant impact on communities in need, improving lives and fostering hope for a brighter future.”
Through this partnership, Qatar Charity and Islamic Relief plan to implement projects focused on health, education, and economic development. By pooling resources and expertise, they will enhance their reach and effectiveness in countries affected by poverty, conflict, and natural disasters.
The collaboration also emphasises the importance of community-driven solutions, with local needs and priorities at their heart to make sure projects are sustainable and benefit communities long after initial implementation. The charities will work on building infrastructure, improving access to quality healthcare, and supporting educational initiatives to empower the next generation.
Both organisations recognise the importance of the SDGs in their mission. This partnership will specifically target goals related to poverty reduction (SDG 1), good health and well-being (SDG 3), quality education (SDG 4), and peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16). By addressing these critical areas, Qatar Charity and Islamic Relief hope to contribute to the global agenda and make lasting changes in the lives of vulnerable populations.
