The impact of the crisis and our work on the ground so far Since the conflict began, more than 1,900 Palestinians – including women and children – have died and hundreds of thousands have fled their homes. Over 1.5 million people are without reliable access to basic services and the public health system is close to collapse. Up to a quarter of the population has been displaced and many homes destroyed. Islamic Relief is on the ground in Gaza, delivering vital humanitarian aid.
