Local authorities continue to struggle with the aftermath of the devastating floods in eastern Morocco.
On Sunday, several areas across Safi province were inundated with muddy floodwater – homes, roads and basic infrastructure were all damaged. Authorities continue to work draining water and restoring services.
Some residents have been without power for days now, forcing families to cope in difficult conditions. In low-lying areas, flooded roads are disrupting transport and access to essential services, adding to the strain on daily life.
Schools remain closed as more rain and cold weather is expected.
