A learning review of multi-purpose cash assistance cash assistance in Afghanistan
This report examines how well an unconditional, multi-purpose cash assistance programme in Afghanistan (MPCA) was run. It looks at what went well, what problems there were, and what can be learned for future programmes. The report found that the MPCA programme helped families, but it could be improved by better targeting recipients, distributing the cash more effectively, and including more women. Also, while cash is helpful, long-term solutions are needed. Learning from this programme is important for future efforts.
