Since June, heavy monsoon rains have caused devastating flash floods and landslides in Pakistan, killing over 1,000.
The Sutlej, Chenab, and Ravi rivers swelled to record levels, causing Punjab’s worst flooding in decades.
Local authorities now state that more than 1,000 people have been killed, with 4.5 million people affected by the disaster.
More than 12,500 houses have been destroyed.
With over 4,700 villages submerged, vast areas of farmland have been devastated, and agricultural livelihoods severely impacted.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), we are working in close coordination with government authorities to prepare for recovery, supporting communities as they begin the challenging process of rebuilding their lives.
In Southern Punjab – especially across the districts of Muzaffargarh, Multan, Rajanpur, and Bahawalpur – the situation remains severe. Thousands of families have lost everything and are now relying on government run camps for shelter and survival.
Delivering aid to those most in need
Within 24 hours of the first floods, Islamic Relief were on the ground providing lifesaving aid, making sure families were not abandoned in their darkest hour.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have distributed clean water, food packs, hot meals, temporary shelters, and hygiene materials in KP and Punjab.
So far, we have reached more than 130,000 people in need, yet the scale of suffering remains high.
