As the fragile ceasefire enters its second week, Gaza’s children have questions. They have suffered so much during Israel’s nightmarish assault on Gaza, losing their homes, schools and loved ones.
While the bombing has stopped, there is no end in sight to the uncertainty that has plagued these children for more than 2 years.
Islamic Relief staff and partners spoke to children enrolled on our Orphan Sponsorship Programme in Gaza. We heard their wishes to return home; to be reunited with loved ones, both living and deceased; and their doubts that they’ll ever be able to play and live as normal.
We can’t give them the answers. But, with your support, we can continue to be a lifeline for Gaza’s orphaned children. Families enrolled on the programme receive a monthly stipend that can be used to buy whatever they need most.
More than 21,000 children in Gaza are enrolled on our Orphan Sponsorship Programme, but there are over 7,000 children still waiting to be matched with sponsors.
Be a lifeline to Gaza’s orphans. Palestinian children need you now. Donate today.
